As part of ECA’s commitment to advancing reconciliation in the early years, the Reconciliation Symposium is an important event that will provide opportunities to explore reconciliation within the sector, networking, professional development and information sharing. Advancing reconciliation in early childhood education and care will be held from 16–17 May 2025 in Gimuy (Cairns, Queensland).
We recognise that some individuals and organisations may find it difficult to participate in the symposium because of limited resources and/or long travel distances. ECA is offering a single rate scholarship to assist with the cost associated with travel to the event. Scholarships can be used to pay a proportion of travel, accommodation or registration costs at the discretion of the individual or their employer. The applicant must be prepared to:

Successful travel scholarship recipients will be eligible for $2,235 (incl. GST) to attend the ECA Reconciliation Symposium—Advancing reconciliation in early childhood education and care 16–17 May 2025 in Gimuy (Cairns, Queensland).

To apply for a scholarship, complete the online application by COB Wednesday 19 March 2025.
Any applications after this date will not be considered.
Applications for a scholarship will be assessed individually and a response provided within 30 working days after applications have closed. The decision to provide a scholarship is at the discretion of ECA; the scholarships will no longer be available once funds have been committed. We will notify you by email of the outcome of your application and if successful the funds will be deposited into your nominated bank account after the symposium.
Please note that funds will only be paid by direct deposit into the bank account in the name of the successful applicant or the name of the service.
